Grade 2 Reading

This term, Grade 2 students have been developing their reading comprehension skills through a focus on visualisation, text connections, predictions, and summarising. They have been learning to strengthen their predictions by using the word “because” and supporting their ideas with evidence from the text. Students have also practised summarising events in order using time connectives such as First, Then, and Next. As a class, we have been enjoying the novel Kimmi, the Queen of the Dingoes by Favel Parrett.
