Australian Money - Maths

Grade 1 Numeracy
During term 1 in Numeracy, we have been learning all about Statistics. The students have loved surveying their classmates and creating their own picture graphs, building their skills in collecting and displaying data in fun and meaningful ways. More recently, we have begun exploring bar graphs; looking at their features and how they help us present information clearly. After gathering their data, students worked together in small groups to interpret what their graphs showed.

Grade 1 Reading
Grade 1 students have been exploring Fairytales in Reading. We have focused on zooming in on strong character traits and identifying how we know this using evidence. The magic word, ‘because’ helps us link our thinking with the evidence we can see in the book.
