The 1/2's love playing charades with their vocabulary words. The students are put into partners or small groups and given a word from our current vocabulary cycle. This could be one of the vocabulary words, or it could be a synonym or antonym for one of those words. They then have to come up with a small role play to act out the meaning of the word. The rest of the students are given the chance to guess what the word is by explaining what clues they have used from the performance to figure out the word. It’s a fun way to really immerse our students into vocabulary and the context and meaning of the words. They also enjoy having the chance to put on a performance for the class!
