Prep Perceptual Motor Program (PMP)

This week the preps began a perceptual motor program (PMP) which will run every Friday from 9:00am - 10:00am.

PMP aims to develop children's perceptions and understanding of spacial awareness in which the body moves through. It aims to develop fine and gross motor skills and promotes hand-eye coordination, concentration and attention, locomotion, and confidence to 'have a go.'

Students are involved in activities such as balancing, eye tracking, crawling through, jumping over, hopping, climbing, throwing and catching, strength and body control, skipping and many more.

We are always looking for parent helpers to assist with these sessions, so if you can help out please speak to Mr. Gibbons or your child's prep teacher.

Below are some photos from our first PMP session, the students all had a fantastic time!

Reading about the “Prep Perceptual Motor Program” and how it helps young students build coordination, confidence and movement‑awareness left a warm impression. I found myself reflecting on how at times you might wish someone would take my online MBA exam for me when deadlines stack up and responsibilities pull you in every direction. Whether it’s learning through motion or managing coursework, support often makes the difference.
