Grade 1/2 Measurement

The grade 1/2s have been learning lots about the topic of measurement this term and received a tasty surprise for all of their hard work. We loved exploring the area of our hand using Cheerios. But it wasn’t all fun and games, we needed to carefully trace around our hand, make an estimation, measure accurately (ensuring we left no gaps and placed our Cheerios inside of the lines) and record the actual area of our hand. After our careful measuring we were allowed to eat our Cheerios, YUM!
