ANZAC Day

This week our grade 5/6 students had a very special visitor. Tony Smith MP Federal Liberal Member for Casey along with Lilydale RSL President Don Parsons attended our school to present some very special awards.

Tony Smith’s office ran an essay competition for local primary school asking grade 5/6 students to write a piece about “What ANZAC day means to me”.

We had 39 students submit an entry and we were very proud when Patricia Robins and Alex McFarlane received highly commended awards and the overall winner from all schools and from all submissions was Ella Bevis.

Ella presented her submission to our grade 5/6 students and also at the Lilydale Dawn Service on ANZAC day.
