This week our 1 and 2 students have worked really hard using different strategies to problem solve. Both students and teachers look forward to our weekly problem solving challenge. Our students work both independently and cooperatively to find as many different answers to the one problem possible. Students are first given the problem and must follow our seven problem solving steps to enable them to work out the different answers. Our ½’s are great at sharing and listening to different ideas and strategies used. This week our students had to find out how many bears where hiding in three caves. They knew that there were 12 bears in total and one cave had 2 bears. Please see below the students ideas and strategies used.
