Chicks in Grade 1/2

The Grade one and twos have been hatching chicks in their classroom thanks to Ruth Bowers (Jolene’s Mum). Ruth set up an incubator in the classroom with 18 eggs. The children were lucky enough to have nine chicks hatch just before their science lesson and had fun observing their features and drawing and labeling diagrams of their bodies. Has been a very exciting time learning about the embryonic development of chickens.
